aka the Mitsubishi Space Runner/ RVR/ Chariot,

and interestingly, the new ASX/ RVR is actually the Outlander Sport in North America.

Oh now awesome! I'd bout have to go looking for that color on purpose...seriously. I saw a red one in the airport employee parking lot and it was cleeeaaaannnn. Obviously a good commuter car.

The first car in I ever purchased ($1500) was a 91 Eagle Summit LX sedan in California Orange 5 speed. It had 87,000 miles, sold it 9 years later with 190,000 ... I drove it on my first road trip 4,200 miles when I graduated college. It had pizza cutter tires which actually made it quite good in the snow. Super easy to work on, changed the clutch, head gasket (preventative), exhaust system but other than routine matinence it never gave me any trouble. In the end it did start eating rear wheel bearings, the gentleman who bought it was a retired Chrysler tech and said he would take good care of it ... He did and I loved seeing it around town. Replaced it with a 2002 saturn sc1, which was a fine car got the same gas mpgs however was worse in the snow, not as much character and ultimately was replaced with a 2002 forester (much better of a vehicle).
